Breeding Regulations

Boarding requirements and breeding regulations

The Turf Bloodstock Stud Farm adhere to its breeding regulations. Please take note on our requirements and refer to the relevant documents before sending your mare to board with us or be covered.
Horses without the correct paperwork and vaccinations will be refused entry to the stud and/or cover. (Vaccinations for locally Bred Mares are optional.)

Mares boarding at Turf Bloodstock Stud Farm

The following items should be lodged at the Royal Sabah Turf Club office before or on arrival of the mare at the stud farm, and copies of the stud service contract are available to download at the bottom of the respective stallion's page:
  1. Passport (for newly imported mares)
  2. Vaccination Record (for newly imported mares) – Mares must be vaccinated at least 21 days before cover.
  3. Stud Service Contract
  4. Receipt of payment
Please note: Mares arriving from outside of Sabah will need all of the above documentation, and in addition are subject to more stringent requirements. Horses arriving from abroad will undergo 1 month isolation while the new blood tests are taken and the results established.

Mare owner is to advise Turf Bloodstock when the mare is due to come into season and arrange for an appointment for covering. No mare is allowed to "walk in" without prior notification and approval.

Boarding Fee including feeding is chargeable at RM30/night.
If you are in any doubt about the documentation your horse needs to board with us or be covered by one of our stallions, please contact the Tambalang office.
